Here he is planting garlic...
It's that time again... time to plant the garlic. We still have a BUNCH left to eat here in the house. He will be planting the rest of this pile...
He separates them into cloves and plants them about 6 inches apart. We will mulch them once they appear above ground.
The tomatoes that I threatened with taking up and adding to the compost have decided to put on a bunch of new growth so we decided to just let them grow until it freezes. This is the weirdest Fall we've had in a long time.

Great idea growing your own garlic and Scott certainly seems to have the 'gift' for getting a great crop! I've found garlic being sold in our supermarkets which has been imported from China...apparently they 'bleach' the bulbs to supposedly make them more attractive. These garlic bulbs are very cheap but I would never, ever buy them!
ReplyDeleteI simply don't trust food products from China. These are people that tainted their own domestic infant formula in the quest for profits. I don't think it would be crazy to think they don't have my best interest at heart.
ReplyDeleteScott.
Oh boy, does he grow good garlic, too!!!
