Scott looking for some tubes for a project he is working on currently.

Dart Swinger that Scott likes to see every year.
Next a series of pictures of the Eastern Bluebird that has been checking out the birdhouse Greg made in Boy Scouts years ago.

Friday Wrap up

Started Friday evening....

Well after taking a nice LONG weekend off to bring in  my 50th year on this planet I went back to work at 3 AM Wednesday morning and unloaded the semi-truck of goods for our store and then stocked my area of the store (Scrap-booking). I got off about 10 minutes to 10 AM. I was exhausted!

After work I went straight to the tire dealer where we bought the tires for my car as we had taken advantage of their hazardous road coverage and boy was I glad that we had as I had a nail in my rear passenger side tire and it had gone through the side wall. No way for them to repair it so they had to get another tire in as they didn't have one there at the shop. I just waited the 2 hours while they ordered it and had it delivered. Instead of being a couple hundred dollars I paid just a little over $63. I was just glad to have it fixed. Then on the way home from work today the car let me know I have a turn signal light out on the drivers side so we will look at getting that replaced tomorrow. I tell you what my car sure has been a "needy wench" lately.

Cont'd... Saturday morning....

Well today was to be my "Pie Crust Basics how to" afternoon and it will be just Robin and I. Everyone else had health issues, car troubles and other duties SO Scott says he'll make a pie with Robin and I so I will have at least 3 here for the session. I will video tape the process. Could be a REAL hoot with Scott in the middle of it.

I just went down to Bi-Lo (Grocery store) for some basics for breakfast and the apples I will be needing for the pie. I have nibbled on some chips and salsa to hold me over until the sleepy heads get up. I need to make some fresh coffee as I drank all I had made earlier - 3 cups... don't believe I need anymore.

OK... the new camera is AMAZING!!!! Here are some photos that I have taken this past week.
On Monday I took this photo of our Tulip Magnolia in the front yard.
Tuesday's photos...
The red Bud tree in the side yard

My pink Camilla in the side yard

My White Camellia in the side yard

A Mocking bird way up in the top of one of the Scraggly Oak trees
Wednesday's photo - The Bouquet that Greg gave me for my birthday.
Thursday's photo - a completed "Skinny Mini" made out of cardstock
Friday's Photos...
Our 27 year old mower.... heading for the scrap yard. Scott has been given several mowers in better condition that needed a bit of work and are now running so this old girl is being put out of her misery.

Our "Old Boy" Tesla in a favorite perch on my desk

Cowbirds (we think) in the top of one of the Scraggly Oak trees in the front yard. A flock of them came in to feed at our feeder.

A Beautiful Cardinal in the Japanese Red Maple taken from across the yard.
Well fresh coffee is up and I have a few things to get done around here this morning so I will say so long for now and perhaps come back tonight with some of the pie making fun.

WHEW... dry spell again

Sorry about not posting in awhile. The days just seem to roll together anymore... plus side I am crafting a bit more and using up my stash. For March I am not going to spend any of my paycheck or Scott's on Crafting supplies... a spending freeze of sorts to get some more of the materials I all ready have used up. I will spend on postage to mail hand crafted items to friends and that will be all.

So ... WHAT have I been up to? HMMMmmm... well since I made the quilled card I created a "Skinny Mini"; although it hasn't ended up being too skinny since I had some trouble with the pages splitting and I had to make a lot of repairs that I ended up hiding behind lace and trims.
I've also been crocheting a few small hearts for an on-line friend that wanted some for her own crafting. She wanted "pastel" colors and this is the closest I could come up with what I have I hand here at home. These are crocheted out of pearl cotton and I am now crocheting some more with size 10 crochet cotton. Hopefully these will be close enough to "pastel" that she will like them.
Scott and I had a lovely fire in the fireplace last night...
It was so nice to sit together in front of the fireplace and just talk; Greg had gone off with friends to get Pizza so it was so nice and quiet. I snuck and took this picture of Scott; it's a  bit blurry but I wanted to get a photo of him without him knowing.
Writing a Blog Post of his own
So thats about it I guess. I did have a friend over to craft with on Saturday and thats when I made the skinny mini. March is really starting to fill up with weekends of FUN! Next Saturday will be my 50th birthday!!! WOO HOO half way to 100!

Another year nearly gone...

Hello to all those that have followed this blog for some time. I have not posted in quite awhile so thought I would pop over and write some...
