It's been breezy all day and we decided to drive down to the boat ramp; on the way back we saw one of Cayce's Finest moving briskly and decided to follow him and see what was going on; he turned in at the entrance to the Riverwalk where we nearly always start our walks by the river. And this is what we saw...
You can just see the white roof of a convertible that belongs to a kid in our neighborhood but you can't see the other vehicle to the left. The tree just missed them both! It fell right down the middle between them... AMAZING! It actually fell where we usually park when we start our walks by the river - have to say I'm glad we had not gone tonight.
This was a Hackberry tree and Scott and I had noticed that it was dieing from the center out and knew this could eventually happen.
The wind last night here in Michigan was powerful..Yet, the news spoke of no real damage..It's that time of year...

That is what is scary this time of year. I'm glad no one was hurt when that tree fell. The winds here were really strong night before last. I thought this place was going to blow away.
