Oooh, love that nice old cook book! Do you make the quilts? The one waiting to be quilted is a really lovely colour and design. It's been a number of years since I made a quilt and every now and again, I get the urge to go through my stash and start another one!! No time or space right now but one day soon.....
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in again, Becky, great to see your views of red!!!
Yes the quilt is one "in the works". I have the blocks in a storage box waiting for me to make more so I can make a larger project - or at least that was the plan. But now I am thinking it would make an amazing baby quilt for a little boy. If I have it made up I will be able to hand a new young mother a special gift. I think that is what I will do with those blocks. There will always be babies arriving.
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely idea! I never seem to be able to change my plans for one of my creations...... if I make it as a gift for some one and change my mind, it never seems like its meant to be mine! And vice versa -versa, if I make it for myself and then think that perhaps this or that friend might like it, I just can't part with and not feel like its still mine! If that makes sense? I love making gifts for friends and mostly make things for others, so I'm not really stingy!!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you being able to go with the flow, it's something I need to work on obviously!
loving the look of that red cook book too, what a vintage treasure.
