Here it is Friday again. The weeks are just flying right on by. We've been up since about 4:30 this morning - Greg was up at 3:00 or as he says... " OH 300". We got our walk/run complete before 9 AM and it was GREAT. We covered about 3 miles in about an hour. We took water and snacks this time and everything went much better. We also remembered to take the camera; as usual we didn't see anything too spectacular - except for this strange looking bug.....
And this baby Rat Snake.....
We took it's picture and then gently coaxed it off the trail before someone else came along and killed it. We saw a dead one yesterday. Rat snakes are tremendously useful animals - without them the river bank would be covered in rats - I'd rather have the snakes.
