Fullfilled my Hearts Desire

Ever since Scott and my last visit to the Old Mill Antique Mall I have been thinking about a stainless bread box that I saw there and kicking myself for NOT buying it so today I decided to stop and see if it was still there. I walked through a bit of the downstairs first and found a booth that had all their books for 80% off... ah oh... SO how I could I resist that. I got one craft book and 4 cookbooks. The cookbooks were all $2 or less and the craft book was just $4.
After I picked up these gems I decided to head on upstairs to the booth that hopefully held MY TREASURE... well I get to the top of the stairs turn and IT'S GONE! Then I got to thinking that it looked like they had cleaned their booth up a bit so I started looking and IT WAS STILL THERE! Waiting... JUST FOR ME! AND.... it was 50% off! So all my purchases came to less than the full price of the bread box. SCORE!
To say I'm happy would be an understatement. The top rolls up to open and I just love it's size as it will hold a loaf of bread and some rolls. The red container was a Clearance find yesterday at Hobby Lobby. I've been wanting a separate container for my wooden spoons and this fit the bill perfectly for less than $3.

Tomorrow is Scott's final day at the temp position that he has worked for over a year now. So we are back living TIGHT after this.  The good news is that he has been getting multiple calls daily this week from recruiters so hopefully something will come our way SOON.  We aren't going to sweat what we can't control anymore.

  2. Hi Becky :) :)

Oh, you have some lovely finds :) :) I think that's AWESOME that you got all of those treasures for less than the original price of the breadbox. Isn't God so good that way to provide those unexpected blessings? :) :) :) I'll be praying for your hubby to find a new job, one that is permanent and will be perfect for your family :) :)

On a random note, my followers list has disappeared from my blog. So if you come visit me, you should still be able to leave a comment. Let me know if you have any issues there.

Have a great day. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  3. I love the breadbox. I went antiquing up North with my mom and told her I wanted one. One of these days! I am glad you found one and got a great deal on it, too. :)
