What a lovely set of photos. That bridge and reflection is just lovely. Looks like a wonderful place to stroll. And how nice that you have Scott's mom near by enough to pop in!! And was that a heron that you saw?
Yes; It's a Blue Heron and they make the strangest croaky sound. We see several of these amazing birds along the river. The other bird is a Cormorant which we had not expected to see as they usually head out of our area before December but it's been so warm here I guess they decided to just hang around a bit longer.
So I see they have well-labeled captions....I swear I didn't see those before I wouldn't have asked! Oh well. I've never heard the blue heron's voices, but they are some of my favorite to watch. They are so pointy. Watching them spear fish makes me giddy! Cormorants I think I've only seen once. They are so distinctive looking though that I think they're rather easy to pick out even from a far. Birds are so neat. I could watch them aaaaaalllllllllll day!
You didn't miss the labels the first time; after you asked I decided to go back in and add them. You just gave me the idea. And I agree birds are fascinating creatures.
Love the photos of you two Becky. Cherish every moment you have together.
