Thats all I have left to do on these Autograph blocks - 16 seams times 5 and I can drop them in their envelopes and get them in the mail. YEAH! Of course one is mine so it will stay with me but the rest will be on their way.
Then the only swap items on my plate will be the current Round Robin's; I don't have any here at the moment so that means I can work on two very special little boy's birthday presents. More on those later.
Scott has had two very awesome interviews and we are hoping and praying that one leads to a job for him! "Finger's toes and eyes crossed" as a friend recently said. AND it will be closer for him to drive from our 10 acres than it would be from here so that is some good news - perhaps we will finally get moved up there. It's all so exciting - he is on the phone with the hiring manager right now. YEAH!!!! Trying hard NOT to get too excited!
On Wednesday I decided to try to stay awake until at least noon to see if I could get some better sleep; so I went with Scott to the Riverwalk. I didn't make it too far and decided to sit by the Railroad trestles while he went on his regular walk/run. It was so nice to just site and watch the river go by sitting on that observation deck. When he came back through we walked together back to the car. I didn't think I was going to make it - got extremely sick to my stomach and thought I'd loose my breakfast; Scott was about ready to go get the car and drive it in as far as he could on the walk to get me but I told him I'd be fine if I just stopped and rested a bit along the way. BOY was I glad to get back to the car. Bright note was the above bloom on one of my Rose of Sharon that grows along our driveway. And these lovelies along the walkway...
I take some pretty good picture's eh?

More Special Photos!
Since all I've been doing this week is working 10 to 12 hour overnight shifts and sleeping I thought that I'd just do a post of some more of the old family pictures...
This is what is on my mind ; join us over at Down To Earth for a Blog-land visiting session.

Night#2 - check
I made it through another night but am needing sleep BADLY! I was sleeping really well earlier when the neighbors yard man arrived and started in with a weed eater and then a blower... I wanted to stick both in his you know what. I got up and threw some clothes on and went to the grocery store as we were out of all the basics and I was hungry. NOW I need to try to get a couple more hours of sleep as it continues.....

Survived Night #1
I worked all night last night and tonight is another long night and it's looking like I will be doing it all again tomorrow night. It's so strange coming home from work at 7:30 AM and then having to be back to work at 9:30 PM the same day. I'm not sure I could ever get used to it. Sleeping during the day is so hard for me - if the sun is up you're supposed to be up and working.

AN AMAZING Give-a-way
Cold Antler Farm is hosting an absolutely wonderful give-a-way! Go over and check it out. I've entered!
THE HORROR
So..... I finally decided to jump in and finish the 5 Autograph Star blocks for that swap I'm trying to get completed and my Rotary Cutter would NOT stay open. Anytime I tried to put pressure down on it to cut the lock would release and it would close up on me. UGH! I pulled out my ad from Jo-Ann Fabrics and discovered that the rotary cutters were on sale at 40% off AND I had also received a coupon from them in my email for 20% off your total INCLUDING sale items so Scott and I went by there after we stopped at the Post Office so he could mail a package to Brazil. I got a new rotary cutter and 2 replacement blades for $16.41. AND they have titanium blades so they should stay sharper longer.
I came home and cut the remaining segments that I needed and have most of the first seems sewn... just one more blocks worth before I can start forming them into the blocks. YEAH! I had hopped to have these done and gone before this past Friday but just couldn't find my sewing MoJo.
Now for something probably most of you would never see on your kitchen tables but I had to share...
TOLD YA! You can tell we have a son in the Navy can't you... wine and a gas mask!

Walking by the River once again...
Today Scott and I and Jane (Sister-in-law) walked along the Rivewalk together. The temperature was wonderful and there was a slight breeze which made it a most enjoyable walk and we got to see some lovely creatures....
And we saw some of my favorite theme - FUNGI!

| A Velvet Ant - which is actually a wasp that packs a potent sting! DON'T TOUCH! |
There were signs at nearly every turn that there are Beaver's present along the river.
All in all it was a wonderful walk!
