I woke up this morning and decided that today was the day to have my hair cut and donated to Locks of Love. Of course I neglected to get a before picture but they cut 2 10-inch long pony tails that will be sent in to Locks of Love. With it being gray they will sell it to off set the cost of making wigs from hair that still retains a natural blonde, brown, black or red. Here is my new doo...

Hello to all those that have followed this blog for some time. I have not posted in quite awhile so thought I would pop over and write some...
Oh my gosh Becky. I loved your beautiful long hair. Will you let it grow long again?
ReplyDeleteI always thought your header picture was nice with your long locks.

: ) In a year it will be back long. Just felt the need to give a little to someone else as so many have helped us this past two years and I have no money to give so I give of my self and my time.
ReplyDeleteOMG! LOVE the new hair cut! I am currently growing out my hair to the required 10 inches in hopes of donating to "Lock's of Love" ....as well....I haven't alot of money..but I can grow hair for those in need...:)
ReplyDelete~~Hugs my friend for being so kind~~
Blessings
What a very kind thing you did!
ReplyDeleteYou look great, such a wonderful thing to do with your locks.
ReplyDeletei have done that before also. it is very rewarding.
ReplyDeleteLove the new doo!
Becky, that is such a nice thing to do! My daughter did that when she was a teenager. She had a long, beautiful thick ponytail cut right off. I think your hair looks lovely and I wish I had the nerve to let my gray grow out... we are about the same age and I bet I am 60% gray or more. I just get sick of getting called my toddler's Grandma even with my hair colored!!! The best one was a lady at church asking if ALEX was my grandson -- he is 18!!! I guess I am a bit vain. :(
ReplyDeleteIt looks great - really suits you. What a nice thing you did :-)
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice thing to do Becky.
ReplyDeleteThere are ways to do for others even when we do not have money, and you found one that worked for you.
I may be old fashioned, but I am partial to women going natural and having long hair, not for religious reasons either, just my humble feeling. I did color my hair for quite a few years, but got tired of the cooking feeling on my head.

I love it it makes you look so young. We have the same colour of hair. That is a good cause. Looks great. B
ReplyDeleteI like the new hair cut a whole lot! Locks of Love is a very cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd just because I am not totally clear and quite curious: So, they don't have any demand for gray wigs? Who do they sell it to?
I'm not totally sure but I'm thinking hair care testing companies buy the gray.
