Thanksgiving Meal coming together....

Old Fashioned Candied Yams

Mustard Greens from our garden - cooked the same way I cooked Collard Greens in a previous post.

Ford Hook Lima Beans - cooked by Scott and improved by me.


Another pan of cornbread as we want to be sure to have enough cornbread dressing.

  1. You know, I have never in my life eaten mustard greens. I'm not sure they've ever been offered to me. But, that is more of Southern thing, right? Collards, too, for that matter--though I know I've tried them a time or two.

    1. Yes I do believe the "Greens" thing is Southern. When I lived in Upstate NY we ate Spinach and Swiss Chard. Collards and Mustard Greens are more bitter.
