Scott's Mom was over and she offered one of her old recliners as Scott was having such a hard time sleeping. He is resting in it right now... I can hear him purring. HA HA! It supports his back better and doesn't stress his belly like the wing backed chair and ottoman were. I think we will need to get out of the house a bit today as he has started to get a bit stir crazy and thats when I fear him over doing. I was thinking about popping over to the store to check on things and he can ride along then if he wants to.
I've got to mow the lawn today as my back is starting to act up from all this sitting around... I got to get physical! I may even plant the potatoes that have sprouted.

Night 1 after surgery
Scott is doing a bit better today. It took a bit to get him settled in last night; he just couldn't lay in the bed so I had Greg help me move one of the wing backed chairs and the ottoman to our bedroom so that he could sleep sitting up last night. Makes me wish we had a couple recliners. We'll take it easy today.

Bionic Belly!
Scott has a new and improved belly thanks to Dr. Anotoneti and Lexington Medical Center. He had a bit of a time coming around and has had more pain than he anticipated but is home and recovering. He seems to be doing better after having a nap in his chair in the den. Now to keep him from over doing it the next two weeks. I'll be home with him until Saturday then I will just run home to check on him during my lunch breaks. They had to make 8 incisions instead of 5 to 6 so that would explain the added pain. He has a prescription for Oxcycodone so is handling the pain a bit better than he was during his reawakening.
I ate lunch in the new cafeteria at the hospital and it was very good. I had a club sandwich; a cafe mocha and a cookie - my favorite.... white chocolate macadama nut! When I got back up from eating he was about ready to go. Took some doing but the nurse and I got him in the car and I got him in the house and comfortable.

Be sure to watch the sky on Aug. 27 12:30 am. It will look like the earth has 2 moons. The next time Mars may come this close is in 2287.

Sickness
I KNEW I was going to get sick from coming in and out of that cold office and onto the HOT sales floor. My head is killing me. I took a decongestant that we had on hand from past sample bags from our Dr. Hopefully that will help me get through the next 4 days so that I can get to work. I'll be home next Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to care for Scott while he is going through and recovering from his surgery. He'll be home for longer than that but that is all I can take off at the moment. I just hope and pray for no complications.
After Scott was done at the hospital this morning he had to go to our regular Dr as he has the start of a sinus infection so he is on an antibiotic to knock it out. We went to the new Walgreens to get his prescription filled and we bought a bunch of snacky JUNK!
I better get to bed as tomorrow is looking like a LONG day!

Pre-Op Blood work
Scott has to go over to the hospital for the pre-surgery blood work this morning at 9 and I'm "off" so will be going with him. Once that is done and he has gone into work I will do up schedules and planners and drop them off at the store. It's just too cold in my office to go in and do them and I'm all ready feeling sick. I think I've caught a cold from going in and out of that frig of an office. I also need to fax some things into the HR department and LP. I'm trying to get a new person ready to be a 4th key holder so that I can take more evenings off to be with Scott. LOTS of changes ahead... thats life!

August 1,2007
I've been wondering why I'm feeling so depressed the past few days; I didn't know if it was because of the lack of time at home and being away from Scott so much or Tim leaving as I have grown to respect him as a person and looked forward to his encouragement. And then tonight it dawned on me... my BABY will turn 21 in 20 days. No more little boy looking for a hug; no costumes to make for Halloween, and no "little extra's" to be made for classmates. I know it's been a long time since any of that actually happened but the thought of him being 21 is really affecting me soul deep. I spent 18 years of my life home with him and now we rarely see him and life has changed so much. So many changes all at once has really thrown me a curve. I will prevail but not knowing what tomorrow may bring is a bit unnerving. Scott has his surgery next week and I am more worried than I thought that I would be. My two fella's mean the world to me and I can't imagine a day without either in my life.
Tim's leaving was unexpected but it is what he needs to do for himself as well as his family and I wish him well. The uncertainty of who will come after is a bit scary but I will do my best for whomever that is as well. And if things don't go well I guess I can always find something else. I would really miss the gals I work with immensely. But I won't cross that bridge just yet.
